Drunk Herstory: A Night of Tipsy Storytelling

We’ve all been there…
Those late, last-call nights, where the words blur together, yet the funniest and most memorable conversations are often conjured after a few too many.
Such is the premise behind the eagerly anticipated Drunk Herstory: A Night of Tipsy Storytelling, happening Thursday, October 25th (6:30pm-9:00pm, show at 7:00pm), at the Alberta Street Pub. While online tickets are sold out, 20 tickets will be available at the door, plus overflow seating will be available, as necessary.
Join women from the Oregon Beer and Cider Industries (also known as the PDX Book Club) for a night of tipsily retold stories of infamously misunderstood women in history. From Cleopatra to Bridget Bishop, hear the liquored-up narration of stories you thought you knew.
Based upon Derek Waters popular Drunk History show on Comedy Central (video below), the event follows in the footsteps of similar events held by women in the beer and cider industries during Women’s History Month in Seattle.
Unique twists for this Portland edition of the event include the Halloween theme (costumes are encouraged), a featured “special brew” the PDX Book Club made in collaboration with 10 Barrel PDX’s own Whitney Burnside, not to mention 14 beer drafts, one to represent the brewery/cidery of each participant.
$1 from select pints will be donated to Planned Parenthood: Columbia Willamette Chapter. A full draft list will be available closer to the date of the event. The show will be co-hosted by PDXBeerGirl, local beer writer & social media influencer, and Randi Curran, local entertainer & bartender.
For additional information, plus a list of the participating breweries and cideries, check out all the details below, as well as the facebook event page.
